Little Darling Toddler Cap

I followed Teresa's instructions for this one. I used 100% cotton from Coats & Clarks and a lighter color in the edge with single crochet in order to adjust to a 3 months old baby's head :)

She was a success one of these chilly evenings!

Barrete rosa para a Alice

Este barrete foi feito com 100% algodão rosa da Coats & Clarks e segui o tutorial da Teresa para o Little Darling Toddler Cap. Fiz o rebordo a bege com um ponto baixo para o barretinho se ajustar mais à cabeça de uma bebé de 3 meses :)

Ela fez grande sensação uma noite destas quando saímos pela fresquinha!

Quadro em crochet

Esta ideia surgiu de uma outra que não é da minha autoria.

O quadro é do IKEA e a flor é uma rosa irlandesa, acompanhada de uma abelha em croché. Os esquemas estão neste livro. Talvez coloque um fundo em linho, onde serão cosidas a flor e a abelha. Quando estiver pendurado, tiro uma foto.

Um colar há muito adiado

Há tempos comprei estas pérolas pretas na loja da Nicole e fiz esta mega rosa branca; só me faltava a ocasião para uni-las!

My own scarf!

As promised, here's my scarf!
I did it with 5,5 mm crochet hook, so it's a bit larger than the one I did for my mother-in-law.

Simple, quick and beautiful!

A minha echarpe!

Tal como prometido, fiz uma para mim! Foi super rápido!
Usei uma agulha um pouco mais grossa do que a que usei na echarpe que fiz para a minha sogra - 5,5 mm - daí esta medir um pouco mais.

É um padrão muito fácil e bonito.

Baby afghan for Santiago

This was my first baby afghan - going to Santiago, born last wednesday :)

43 hexagones in green, yellow, blue and orange. Each hexagone has 5 rows, the last one in beige. Joined with a tapestry needle.

Dois colares em croché

Estes dois colares e pulseira foram ofertas para umas colegas que fizeram anos em Maio.
O primeiro é feito numa corrente dourada e a cor sobressai bastante.

O segundo é uma combinação de dois fios (bege e azul) com uma loopy flower.

Crochet flower

This is the loopy flower, this time rose cotton, 4 mm crochet hook.

Flor rosa em croché

Esta flor é a mesma do quadrado laranja, mas feita em algodão rosa, agulha 4mm.

Crochet studies

These two granny squares are studies for my following crochet project: a shawl/echarpe for those cold summer nights in which having something on your shoulders feels good :)

Here's the shawl for my mother-in-law. It looks so pretty on the shoulders, doesn't it?

Estudos em croché

Estes dois quadrados da avozinha ("granny squares") são tentativas de encontrar o ideal para o meu próximo projecto em croché - um lenço/xaile para usar nas noites de Verão que por vezes têm aquele friozinho que, apesar de não ser suficiente para vestir um casaco, também não dá para estar com os braços ao relento.

Farei uma echarpe igual à que fiz para a sogra, mas, provavelmente, em lã.

Scarf for my mother-in-law

This scarf was quick, easy and it's beautiful!
I loved the pattern and I've decided to do one. It'll be great for the coming chilly summer nights! I've used 4,5 mm crochet hook.
It's a present for my mother-in-law. Hope she likes it. I'll do one for me too.

Cachecol para a sogra

Este cachecol foi rápido, simples e fica lindo! Eu amei o esquema e resolvi experimentar. Fica óptimo para usar nas noites frescas do Verão, pois é feito em linha não muito quente. Usei uma linha relativamente grossa, cor bege, com agulha 4,5 mm. Como a sogra faz anos em breve, resolvi dar-lho, mas vou ter um igual ;) Talvez utilize uma agulha mais grossa -para abrir um pouco mais os pontos- e reduza a largura.

Crochet woolen skirt pattern

As promised, here's the skirt pattern...

I made it in two parts - the frontside and the backside.
My low waist measures 34'', so I had to do 59 ch to measure 17'' for the 1st part of the skirt.
I'm using American Eng crochet stitches.

Material
Crochet hook 6mm
Very thick wool  (I don't know the exact measure)

Waist - 59 ch (which was too much; I forgot that wool stretches a bit )
Round 1 (right side) - 59 ch, HDC in the 4th ch from the hok, 1 HDC in eac ch (56 HDC)
Rounds 2, 4, 6 (wrong side) - 4 FPDC and 4 BPDC, 7 times.
Rounds 3, 5 e 7 (RS) - 4 BPDC and 4 FPDC, 7 times.

Skirt
Round 8  - 1 SC in each of the 56 st
Round 9- 1 DC in eac 56 st
Rounds 10 and 11 -  3 shell in the 14th, 28th and 42nd st. Each shell is made like this: 1 DC, 1 ch, 1 DC in the same st
Round 12 - the same as ner 10 and 11, but with an increase in the shell: 1 DC, 2 ch, 1 DC.
Round 13 to... - do the necessary rounds to the desired lenght.
